Ternate Cavite

ImageImageImageImageImageImageA team building day with my family and relatives. It was a cloudy day of Saturday morning and my companions were busy preparing their own stuff because we are going to Ternate Cavite Marine Camp Beach. Everyone was excited making sure that each has their own swimming gear. It was a 4 hour ride from Mandaluyong City to Ternate Cavite. I’ve never felt the stress of our journey because I’ve slept all the way going to that beach. Arriving at the Beach gave me an awesome feeling that I was in a place that mother nature is keeping in touch with. I saw the Pico De Loro mountain and the big blue sea. After packing up things and done preparing foods, I had decided to walk around the beach to feel the sand and water. I saw hawks flying around looking for food to eat. I have noticed that there were alot of them just flying allover the beach. The place was so secured by the Military men. I saw soldiers on training, doing drills and running around attentively. I have tried to mimic them and join them running too but it is too tough for me because I am not trained to do it. One thing came in my mind, that I can also be like them. Then I have decided to go back to the cottage where my family and relatives are changing their clothes for swimming. The water was so cool and a bit rocky at the bottom of the sea water. Wave were so big that it can splash me to the shore. It was a very enjoying afternoon at the beach. After couple of hours I have noticed that it was getting darker and decided to help my family to prepare for dinner. The color of the water changed from blue into darker, and the wind was so cold and strong. I’ve watched the place changed its color and it was really awesome to live near the beach. Ternate is a quiet place and away from noisy place of the city. There are no bars unlike other resorts, but only the lights on every cottage and a music player. I can say that the fact that it is away from civilization, the place will give you a peace of mind and feeling of with mother nature for a little while. It makes me to feel so good to spend a day in a place like this which is away from noisy place of the city. I was so tired on our way home, but one thing I’ll never forget that a place like Ternate Cavite Beach gives me a feeling of stress-free which gives me the idea that I’ll be definitely be back here ^_^.

La Mesa Eco Park is located at the heart of Quezon City, were people weekly gather around to have fun, relax and enjoy for just an entrance fee of 50 pesos!!!

La Mesa Watershed in Quezon City is the primary source of drinking water of about 12 million Metro Manila residents. The property is owned by the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), a government agency. La Mesa Watershed is 2700 hectares, 700 hectares of which is the reservoir and 2000 hectares of which is the surrounding forest. This forest is the last remaining one of its size in Metro Manila and serves as its carbon dioxide sink. La Mesa Watershed, therefore, is vital to the city, not only because it is a primary source of drinking water, but also because its forest functions as the lungs of Metro Manila, providing it with clean air. http://lamesaecopark.multiply.com/

Eco park indeed is also a Photographer’s heaven because of it’s wonderful scenery.

This Summer…

With all the stress that school works bring, all I can think of is a grand vacation that will help me feel that there is more to life than school works. One of the places that I so wanted to visit is the Philippines’ summer capital, Baguio City.

Baguio_City_Montage

Aside from the cool weather that everyone’s looking for whenever the hot breeze of summer touches our skin, Baguio truly was rich with everything that a traveler would look for. It has numerous tourist spots that will uplift your spirit and delicacies that will surely leave a mark on your tongue.

Here are top destinations all over Baguio:

Burnham Park

burnham-park-baguio-city~~element390A

burnham-park-baguio-city~~element395A

Located in the heart of Baguio city and was known as the counterpart in demand leisure walk place of Rizal park in Manila. It is also famous with its historical value as it was designed and named after American architect and urban Planner, Daniel Hudson Burnham. Up to this day the park still retains much of Burnham’s original design and layout a century ago with few Filipino fashion embellishments added to make it  hip for everyone.

The Mansion

images

This so called Mansion House is a government’s property and is the official summer residence of whoever the president of the Philippines is. Its history started way back the year 1908. It was built as summer home for U.S Governor generals who are American administrator for the Philippines.  It was destroyed during the war for the Liberation of the Philippines in 1945 and was rebuilt by the Philippine government in 1947.

Today, the Mansion house is a perfect place to take photographs that seem to be postcard ready.

The Strawberry Farm

img_3867 images (1)

Your trip to Baguio wouldn’t be complete if you fail to visit its most wanted farm. It offers an all new experience for in this farm you get the chance to harvest your own strawberries. Only, you pay double compared to the price of it in the market. But all in all, the money you spent is worth the moment you were able to pick those delicate fruits and you can consume it at its best.

Discover what’s in Tanay Adventure Camp!

Awesome experience!

We actually had our camp in Tanay Adventure Camp, where “Pepito Manaloto,” a comedy show of GMA 7, taped one of their episodes.

I was totally excited to see and explore what the camp site management could offer.  So there I was, astounded by the large hectares of land. Wow! What a huge place compared to the camp site we had two years ago in Alfonso, Cavite.

Image

Image

Image

We’ve been there for 4 days and 3 nights. You would suddenly wake up in the morning as you feel your perspiration because of the hot weather wherein you couldn’t take to walk all along without an umbrella because you might go home with tan skin while you would experience coolest weather during nights where you could feel the coldness of the air from your skin hair down to your soul. Yes! I was regretting for bringing a thin jacket. I thought I was going to die like what happened to Jack in Titanic. I’m not joking, it really came into my mind.

Despite of unpredictable weather conditions, I enjoyed staying there for almost one week since, I have experienced all their near to death activities such as:

Mudslide. I almost had to get outside of that small gate and say to them “Hindi ko kaya ang taas niyan oh ang habang slide” for I was really nervous but in the end, I did it for my friends who cheered me up saying that I could do it because God is with me.

Image

Rope Obstacles

ImageImageImage

Rappelling. On the very first day when I saw the nerve-racking 50-footer Rappelling Tower, which I thought was really high, I told them “hey guys, hindiko kaya yan hindi ko ittry yan kasi antaas kumpara dun sa Cavite. Hindi naman yan kasama sa activities na kailangan lampasan e.” But look, I did it. I just swallowed all these words that I said.

Image

Image

Hi zipline! Yes! I had a chance to experience a 230-meter long zip line! I have tried it thrice but I do apologize for having no pictures of it.

Finally, I have challenged myself to climb the 20 feet and 40 feet walls.

I did all obstacles they have there since, I’m a “yes girl.” They always say I can do it thus, I have this confident that I can.

Have you experienced to be in a camp? Try to choose Tanay Adventure Camp! It’s not a waste of time and especially, money. They have not only good accommodation but also, friendly employees. I enjoyed my time while I was there. This is a very good venue for teambuildings and leadership trainings.

Awesome place! Wonderful people! Cool and amazing adventure! 😀

A Gateway to far away land

Image

One Sunday morning, while I am on my home from Baclaran church, I have passed by the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Airport Terminal. After I saw the airport, the idea of that terminal is biggest among the other terminals of NAIA, made me decided to stop for a while and to take a look around first.  Since I knew someone in their security there, my friend allowed me to enter the terminal ^_^. Though I’m really not there because of travelling to another country, my friend still made me passed their security procedure. For me, their security is just right. They were bit strict during that time, but it was for the safety of their costumers, so definitely I wouldn’t mind being checked by their security officers.

Image

My feet lead me to the airport’s lobby first. I’ve seen that people just come and go at the busy airport. Staying there made me thought of a lot of things like how an aircraft fly, those people from different places of the world, and specially their different faces. I’ve noticed that all seems to be rushing and attentive to the announcements. I saw the captain of the aircraft and some flight attendant that were busy of assuring that all the passengers will experience the best service that the airport can give. I have observed that still they can maintain the cleanliness of that place even though a lot of people were there.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Then I went to the arrival lobby. You can see those people out there were so excited of seeing their love ones coming back home. What a magical scene! A very happy and yet dramatic scene.

Image

I wonder how many airports there could be in the whole world. Are they also as good as the NAIA Airport?

A funny though came into my mind. That someday I’m gonna travel around the world too! And finally I’vve decided to go home. I realized that the airport is a gateway to travel in different countries in the world, and they are your gateway also on your way back home.

In fairness management will give you locks, so every time you go out, you can lock your cottage. This is good for security purposes actually, so you can leave your valuable things without worrying.
